Visio 2000 Error 100

Hi! all

I drew a 40 pages of drawings and some how my computer
hung up. So, I restarted and when I tried to open my
visio file, it said "error 100 the file is not visio
file".

What causes this eror message?
Can anyone provide help?

the error 100 message says that the file has been corrupted and cannot be
recovered.
