I have placed on a Background page a Visio
shape "Shapes:Title Blocks:Title block large" and filled
it with various texts and graphics. When I double-click
the title-block to open it in an editing window, and I
try to delete/ungroup an element I get the message "Shape
protection and/or layer properties prevent complete
execution of this command." I haven't set any protections
to prevent deletion. The only protection any element has
is aspect ratio. The layer is not "Locked" in layer
properties.
How do I fix it so I can delete things?

System:
Dell Optiplex GX400
1.4 GHz 500MB ram
Visio 2002 SP 2
MS Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002 SP 1

It is likely that you are running into the group protection setting, which
is not shown in the Protection dialog. Go to Window > Show Shapesheet and
find the Protections section. Look for the LockGroup cell and enter 0 to
unlock it.
