Man... I was VERY angry when wrote my post.

Anyway, if that's all MS can say about that, I was my hands. :-)

Or... maybe on the contrary, those developers were busy learming
grammar so they forgot how to write programs. ;))

This forum is NOT Microsoft. Being the sophisticated developer that you
claim to be, I would have thought you would know that. Perhaps you can
write something up which fully documents this "bug" and send it to
Microsoft so that they can fix it (if not fixed already in contemporary
versions of the product).

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Maybe it's just that their grammar was as good as yours.
Just tried Visio 2000 SR1 and created simple UML diagram. Added two classes,
composition link between them and double-clicked on the link to see its
properties. The showed up dialog displayed about 50% of its real estate
(size-to-be) hiding some controls partially and some controls completely.
It's a bug of a student level who just started to learn about GUI
development basics.
Shame on you, Microsoft Visio developers who did that.
Shame on you, Microsoft Visio testers who didn't check that.
Shame on you, Microsoft Visio managers who interviewed and hired those
developers & testers.

This thread was forwarded to me in email as I work on the team that owns the
UML solution. I don't yet have Visio 2000 SR1 installed yet. I tried the
scenario you outlined in Visio 2002 SR1 Pro, Visio 2003 Pro, and the Beta of
Visio 2003 EA. In all three versions I was not able to reproduce the problem.

Either the problem is specific to Visio 2000 SR1 or/and is related to your
system settings such as locale & video (including font DPI) settings.

I now have Visio 2000 SR1 Enterprise installed and again was not able to
reproduce the problem. If you would provide details on your system
configuration I'd be willing to investigate this some more.

As always, try it on another machine. Sounds like you have a video problem,
not a Visio problem
