Good Afternoon,

Everytime I try to shut down Visio it will reopen and won't allow me
to shutdown unless I end the process in Windows Task Manager. I have
Visio 2002 with SP2. Any ideas on fixing this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Gil,

Check if you have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 installed. If so, this might be the
result of an issue with a menu and toolbar added by a version of Adobe PDF
Maker for Visio in the Acrobat 6 product.

I don't know if there is an update from Adobe to address this - but in doing
a web search for this, I have seen discussions of a possible workaround for
this problem by removing "Adobe PDF Maker for Visio" from Add/Remove
programs and/or by removing the PDFMVisio.vsl file in the
\Visio10\...\Startup folder. I hope this helps.

Hello Chris,

Please try the following and let me know the results:

1. Click on START > RUN and type Visio /r
2. Then press OK which will start Visio and re-register it.
3. Then try to close visio.

I think the above steps may help you to resolve the issue.
