Discussion:
Paste offset problem

Summary
When I copy from a vision page to another page in the same drawing,
there is always a slight offset to the left in the pasted data.

Details
I am developing multiple diagrams that use the same background shapes
(on a background page). There is a base diagram that I copy to new
pages in the drawing and modify as required. When I copy the diagram
page to another page in the same drawing, there is always a slight
offset, to the left, in the pasted data.

The offset is real annoying and requires me to realign every time I
paste. I have tried making sure the scale and page size is the same
between the source and target page.

Any ideas, wisdom, swags?

This is one of the more annoying things in Visio for me personally.

Open the Size & Position window under the View menu. Note the precise
location before you copy and use the window to re-enter that same position
after you copy. If you are copying more than one shape at a time, Group
them first to use this method.
