Hello'

I am experiencing the "error 607" trying to print to an HP plotter
from Visio Pro 2003 and also from Visio Pro 2002. I am Running XP Pro,
Pentium4 2.2GHZ, and 512 DDR ram. I have read your posts to the user
groups about deleting Visio.bin and .ini, but this has not done any
good. A search for these files only comes up with the .bin and the
.ini does not come up at all. This is with a complete search including
system, hidden, etc. files. Plotting from any others Windows program
causes no problems and exporting the Visio file to Auto Cad allows
plotting with no problem except a few minor formatting issues. I am
using an HP Draftpro DXL plotter with Winline software for the driver.
Printing to any other printer is not an issue and works OK. I thought it was
a driver issue, but all programs tried except Visio work OK for plotting
including the complete Office 2003 Pro suite.
Is there any solution to this problem? I have made close to 30
drawings in Visio that need to be plotted and I have tried everything
to make it work. Help! There seems to be a lot of questions on this error
posted in many user groups but there does not seem to be any answers. Is
this a curable error or do all of my drawings need to be exported and quit
using Visio?

Thank you for any help or information on this issue.

Hi,

Please try updating the printer drivers to check if the issue is resolved.
Also, try installing a generic printer driver included with the Operating
to see if the issue gets resolved.

607 There has been an error queuing your print job
I am not sure what driver is being used for the printer
but there are issues with PCL 3 drivers and Visio 2003.

I also have this problem and was told by Microsoft to delete the two files.
My HP4600 installed with iPrint did not work, the same printer installed
through the control panel did work. After deleteing the two files the printer
installation that did work now has the 607 error. Every printer in the shop
(all HP) will not work. I have Visio 2000 SP2 and Win 2K with all current
patches applied. I also have a lot of time invested in this. I was
considering upgrading but this problem seems to apply to all versions of
Visio.
Come on MS, how about some support here?
So what is the solution? Cause this is duplicate work to have to export it into another application. I am currently using and HP 1055 CM Plus Plotter. I did have the PCL 3 driver. But I installed another version that includes AUTOCAD. Will this help. If not, there is no need to use this software if we have to deal with this issue.
