Quiting Visio 2007 makes VISIO.EXE use 100% of the CPU and hang.

I am unable to Quit Visio 2007 Professional. The window closes but the
VISIO.EXE process stays running using 100% of the CPU. This only
happens on my Dell D600 laptop. On my AMD desktop system it quits
fine.

Dell D600
Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
Pentium M 1.7GHZ
2GB of RAM
no Aero

Desktop AMD System
Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
AMD X2 4400
4GB of RAM (3GB usable)
Aero

I have tried uninstalling Visio, it doesn't work. I also have Office
2007 Ultimate, and Project 2007 installed. The whole suite. No custom
addons, stencils, etc... installed.

I have a Technet subscription so yes this is legal. I considered
calling Microsoft but I am sure that would cost me money in some way.

To investigate this yourself you might look in the Event Viewer, particularly
the Application and System logs, to see if errors are being recorded there
when Visio hangs on closing. You might get a clue as to what is causing the
behavior.

Another consideration -- if you have a TechNet Plus subscription you are
entitled to some free support calls. Check your benefits under your account
information.

laptop. I haven't loaded Bluetooth drivers yet on the desktop. This
can effect Visio?

Okay, I tried unplugging the Bluetooth Dongle on the laptop and it
didn't fix the problem. But, I didn't uninstall the drivers. Do you
have any info about this possible compatibility issue?

We're just getting some scattered reports at the moment and don't have any
solid information. The common denominator so far seems to be Visio 2007,
Dell and Bluetooth. Go figure. I have no idea why these things would
interact.

In Visio 2007, click Tools, click Trust Center, click Add-ins. Is there a
Send to Bluetooth add-in under the Active Application Add-ins section? If so,
check the Disable all Application Add-ins check box. Then click the Go button
with COM Add-ins selected and uncheck the add-in there as well. You'll need
to exit Visio, end any Visio.exe processes, and start Visio again.

If you get some kind of error that it could not access the registry, you may
need to boot into Windows safe mode or restart with Diagnostic Startup using
msconfig.exe, and then uncheck the COM add-in. Alternatively, you could
remove Bluetooth all together under Add or Remove Programs (Programs and
Features in Vista).

COM Add-in! What happened to .NET Microsofty! No wonder it is crap. To
think I paid for this software.

1. Create a new Visio program shortcut and run it as administrator.
Then you don't have to disable all the Addins. Just click on GO and
uncheck Bluetooth. I like my Adobe Acrobat Addins.

2. I like my Bluetooth mouse, so I am not going to uninstall
Bluetooth.

3. Why the hell isn't Visio available for the Mac? It is the only app
I need that isn't on the Mac.

Just to confirm this works, but with a slightly different approach:
- as I am not a full admin with my regular logon account, I had to hold the
shift key with the right mouse button to see the "Run As" option. I then
entered the admin account.
- I went to the Trust Center and left Add-Ins enabled, but I was now able to
uncheck the Bluetooth add-in, and make it inactive.
- Visio now exits properly with no high CPU to kill the machine.
