Visioin hangs system and CPU spikes to 100%

I have Visio 2000 installed a computer running windows 2000 pro sp4.
Everytime Vision is launched the CPU spikes to 100% causing the machine to
spike to 100%. This is occuring on two of our machines. I've checked the
video cards and they don't appear to be the issue since the systems have
different types of cards. I've also uninstalled all printers. ANy help
would be greatly appreciated.
