Items won't connect to connection points

Recently, my Visio diagram stopped attaching to connection points on my
diagram.
This is for all items I drag on to the diagrams. If I open a brand new
drawaing, then everything is fine.
I've got 56 diagrams in the file.
If I delete some of the diagrams, it still does not connect.
I'm using Visio 2003 Enterprise Architect (the one distributed with VS.NET).

I've installed Visio SP2 and all other windows/office updates but it is
still not working.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me.
I really am struggling with this. I trawled the newsgroups but couldn't see
anything.

Thanks

Do you have athe snap & glue turned off on that file? Your connection points
may be unchecked for this particular file.
