I am doing floor plans and the walls and doors keep
snapping together, even though I have all Snap and Glue
options deselected.

Why?

I would like to only snap to the grid.

I was pretty frustrated with this as well, however after an exhaustive
search I found that unchecking the 'Enable automation events' in the
Advanced tab of the Options dialogue (under Tools -> Options) did the trick.

I am using Visio 2002 Professional. I am doing floor
plans also and have had problems with snap and glue to
grids, guides, and shape handles. I already have "enable
automation events" checked. Setting Snap and glue
settings under Tools menu does not work consistently.

Have you actually overcome some of these problems?

Thanks for any information,

Ken Gibson

Which version is this in? There's no such option in 2003.
