Visio 2003 will not save tool bar buttons

I have an unusual problem that surfaced after installing Adobe Acrobat
(Full): custom menu buttons (such as adding Zoom In, Zoom Out, Close and so
forth) added to the tool bar do not stay there afte opening, closing, opening
and closing a document (two sets of opening and closing).

Here are the steps for exactly duplicating the issue:
Open Visio 2003 and, using Customize the Tool Bar, add a couple of menu
buttons to the menu bars.
Open a document. Close Visio (save or not, doesn't matter).
Open a document (same or different, doesn't matter). Close Visio again.
When you reopen Visio, the buttons put up on the menu bar are gone. Every
time.

Visio was installed first, Acrobat after. Both products are updated with
their respective patches and service packs.

Any ideas?

I believe this is a known problem with Acrobat.
