adding/moving shapes

I've had Visio 2007 for a few months and it has worked great! However today
if I open a new document or a saved document to modify I cannot add any new
shapes without doing a copy/paste AND I cannot move the shapes on the page
with the mouse. I can however move them with the keyboard arrows. I know
there has to be a setting somewhere to give me the mouse functionality back.
Does anyone know where that might be?

Thanks in advance,

Lincoln

Are your left and right buttons swapped?
Does the mouse cursor move over the Visio screen area?
Do the menus work?
Can you select a shape that has already been placed on a page?

No. This would affect other applications as well and that is not the case.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.

I simply cannot drag and drop an object from the shapes bar anymore. I have
to copy and paste it. Once I paste it, the only way to move it is with the
arrow keys. I can use the mouse to select an object(s), but that is it.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

Lincoln

Does this happen only with this document or with any others? What
about with a new document?
