I am having a problem with opening and/or importing a CAD
drawing into a document. It does not matter what size or
orientation the CAD drawing is. When I open the CAD
drawing 1/3 of the left and right sides are cropped off.
I tried changing the dimensions of the template and other
options and I am unable to import an entire CAD drawing.
I am currently using Visio 2002, but I have been able to
use Visio 2000 and import the entire drawing. Has anybody
else had similar problems?

Thanks,
John

The problem may be in how the CAD (I am assuming AutoCAD) file was saved. Viso
only opens that part of the CAD file that was visible at the time it was saved. Have the
owner of the file do a Zoom>Extents command and then save it. That should cure your
problem.
