When I open Visio, I get a message indicating that Visio
is updating it's directory cache. It's stops around 13%
then freezes. I can't get past this point.

Please help!

Hi Jessica,

Please Uninstall Visio in the required user account. (Required user account
=
the user profile where you are working with)

2. Create a new user account by going to Control Panel and Users and then
log off XP and then log on using the new user account.

3. Install Visio in the new user account. Launch Visio and verifiy the
status.

Hope you have installed the latest Service Pack for Visio before launching
Visio http://office.microsoft.com
