The article you reference describes an issue when trying to insert the
Visio ActiveX drawing control into a drawing, which is not supported. I am
not aware of it ever occuring when inserting a Forms 2.0 Checkbox or other
simple controls into a drawing.
I would have her check again to ensure the number of the error is recorded
correctly. Then, ask her to check with a new blank drawing - in case there
is simply something wrong with the Forms controls, perhaps. If the control
still can't be inserted in a clean drawing, have her launch Word or Excel
and try to insert the same control.
If the insertion of the Checkbox control works in a clean drawing, but not
in her original drawing, then it may be something specific about the
drawing itself.

in a normal ou a existing document, she does a insert\control and chooses
Microsoft Forms 2.0 Checkbox, that's when she gets the error.

Post by doncbobWhen my user tries to insert a Microsoft Forms 2.0 Checkbox, she gets the
following error ( An error (1440) occurred during the action Insert Control).
She is using Visio 2003 STD. Now I read kb826411, and it says there's no FIX.
What is the user trying to insert the control into? It should (and
does - I've tried it) insert into a normal page).
