I am having a problem with Visio 2002 Pro, and an HP
Designjet 500 Plotter. The plotter uses 24" Wide paper
rolls, but the largest paper size listed in the page setup
area is 34" x 22". When I go to "Edit Paper Size", and
try to edit Custom # 1, everything looks like it takes,
and saves, but when I go to print, Custom Paper Size # 1
is still showing 8.5" x 11", the print preview is still
showing the preview as several sheets of 8.5" x 11" paper
across the diagram, and if I go ahead and send the job to
the printer, it prints several pages of 8.5" x 11", and
wastes the remaining 13", from the roll. I have used the
34" x 22" setting, and have been able to print my 36" x
24" drawing, after shrinking it down to 34" x 22", but
then have a 2" excess on the one side, which I have to
remove with scissors. Please let me know what I need to
do, to select 36" L x 24" W, paper. Thanks. David Long,

I think I just found a solution. If you still need it.
First I downloaded 6.03 driver from HP DesignJet Online site:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?pnameOID=377952&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=25301&prodTypeId=18972&swEnvOID=228
then I installed and made it the default printer.
Now I rightclicked freshly installed driver and choose
It was enough now to open Visio ,go to the page setup
And Tadam.... Voila
I could choose from the custom sizes defined previously in the DJP Print
Properties
